This is an audio of me discussing the experience of myself and a friend of mine. The experience was about coming to a moment of crisis after long years of despair and search, turning to Baha'u'llah and finding planet heaven with him. I argue that this transformation process, which is open to everyone of us, is the path to eradicating war because a person who has shifted from planet earth to planet heaven will abandon their own inner wars.

Many thanks to Baquia, who left the following comment at the bottom of my last message:

But Baha'u'llah says:
"Be anxiously concerned with the needs of the age ye live in, and centre your deliberations on its exigencies and requirements."
Can it be that we find the "Paradise of heavenly grace" by doing this?

I think this is basically the same point as the person I referred to in my message was making. That person was saying that I shouldn't be so concerned with myself and that I should be more concerned with helping the world. And here again the quote from Baha'u'llah seems to indicate that we should be entirely focused on helping the world.

I came across this quote a few days ago. I think it sums up what my blog is all about. It is very heartening when Abdu'l-Baha says that X is the most important thing one should be doing, and X is what you are trying to do! I struggle to explain X and I know I fall short all the time, because the goal of X is a transcendent reality.

Anyway, if I say, 'Hey, detach from the world and find the world of the Kingdom', who is going to believe me? What would I know about such things? But if Abdu'l-Baha says it, then it has credibility. He really knows about the worlds of God and can speak authoritatively about them.

I noticed, today, that Steve has more links down the left-hand side of his blog. One of the new links is called Baha'i Blog. It contains a lot of news about the events going on in the Baha'i world. One of the events I learned about was that a Baha'i was martyred in Iran in mid-December 2005. I didn't hear about it at the time. The man's name was Zabihollah Mahrami. He mysteriously died in his prison cell, after being in prison for 10 years. In 1996, the Revolutionary Court sentenced him to death for apostasy but, because of an international outcry, he was given life imprisonment instead.

Last night, Steve put Karen's lastest musing on my portable mp3 player and I sat and listened to it.

If anyone out there hasn't yet discovered Karen's audio musings on the Faith, I highly recommend that you listen to them. The URL is http://bahaipods.blogspot.com/.

Karen tells me that she is "trying to aim for something that would be understandable to non-Baha'is, while still remaining interesting to Baha'is." And she is very successful, discussing topics that would be new to, or forgotten by, enrolled Baha'is, while not talking over the heads of those who've never been Baha'is.
