New report from the Sentinel Project on Genocide Prevention

The Sentinel Project for Genocide Prevention has published a report (PDF format) on events relating to the Bahais of Iran in April, 2012. The events have already been reported here; I recommend reading the report for the perspective and analysis that the author, Troy Powell, provides. His analysis assumes a knowledge of the “Eight Stages of Genocide” model developed by Gregory Stanton of Genocide Watch. Stanton states that “Genocide is a process that develops in eight stages that are predictable but not inexorable. At each stage, preventive measures can stop it. The process is not linear.
